<Speculation>
The delay to the release of the white iPhone 4 was to fix the proximity sensor and the antenna. No recall announce today. People unhappy can exchange for white iPhone by end of month.

...If you want black, wait until internal isolation fix reaches production line, early august.

:cool:

I think the White delay was totally because of this. They wanted to work this out before they unleashed a whole other slew of iPhones out to the masses.

I mean, the initial delay was probably just a natural production delay, but then it was intentionally delayed until they figured out what to do about the reported issues.

Just my guess.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7)

My theory us that the white iPhone was delayed due to the yellow glue issue.

And to torment y'all.

If true I wouldn't say no to a white iPhone :eek:

If not, I might sell off my iPhone 4 and buy a white one. But we'll see how much I can get for it when the white ones out :)
