i was sitting in my room today with the lights of and looked at the side of my phone and noticed that where the glass on the sides meets the metal band i can see the light from the screen, so i was wondering if anyone else has noticed this at all and if its suppose too be like that or not. and if you dont please give it a try it was close to completely dark besides the tv being on. and if it doesnt happen with yours do white iphone 4s come with 1 year warranties like the black do. thanks:apple:

I've heard about light bleeding issues but mostly in the conversions...

Never heard anything about the official ones bleeding though.

i can see the light through the side of the phone, like where the side glass and metal band meet theres like a tiny gap and i can only see it in the dark, is that the same thing as a bleeding issue?

get a bumper if it bothers you...

is this something thats suppose too be there tho? i read other posts about people saying they can fit thin pieces of paper through it and im not able too, is this something too worry about?

There's no such issue with my phone, not sure if that helps or not.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I had this issue with my 3G. My only concern would be dust easily getting under the screen.

take it to the genius bar.

this isnt meant to happen.

just got back from the apple store they took it to the back and tightened the screws, and they said its up too apples standards and i didnt no that there stanards were too the light from my screen through the side of my phone, i came home and looked again and its still there but not as bad yet still there. i read a forum on this before and people could fit thin pieces of paper into there but i can not so is it something i should call and complain or not or leave it?

If you're not satisfied, take it back until you are. To spend $650+ on an electronic device and it not be perfect isn't really acceptable.

yeah it is pretty ridiculous, they should help customers out too fit there needs

Yep, it was on my bedside table in the pitch black and I remembered your post, so I thought I'd check it out.

Don't think my offering helped much but you're welcome :)

Hope you get it sorted. :)

this, always mention how much you have spent. Its a damn expensive piece of kit and i would expect nothing short of perfection.

thats what im saying and i want my phone too be perfect with nothing wrong with us iphone users take this serious lol

I don't blame Apple completely, you can thank all the people that abused the system for making it this way. I remember I used to walk into an Apple store with a legit problem and walk out with a brand new device 15 minutes later. But so did the guy who microwaved his device because he got a scratch on the screen. The light bleed isn't supposed to happen, I would take it back and stay pretty firm on your want to get it fixed, don't be a jerk or demand anything, just recount how disappointed you are, and that you expected more from Apple. The right genius will do the right thing.

yeah thats what i will do tomorrow, if it wasnt for the dark i would have never saw it, when i went today they tightened the screws he said they werent that lose but they were a lilttle but it still has the leak

if i took my phone too the verizon store would they be able too do anything for me? they also have the 30 days too take back your phone, so what if i take back my phone and pay the $35 and then get a different white one would that work?

I am OCD about my Apple stuff, but again I think a new product should be close to perfect.

I purchased a white iPhone and I noticed a couple small dents in the white plastic bezel around the phone. I dont like it and it shouldnt be there, but ill probably live with it because there are no dead pixels or other issues. For $650 though and the cost of that plastic part you think they would be perfect.
