I have had an invisishield on the back of my iPhone since day 1. 4S. Right around the apple I can tell some darkness showing. Anyone seeing this. Is this replace worthy in the eyes of Apple?
Of course I can't until a 5.1 Jailbreak comes out, so I don't lose my 5.01 JB.

Can you tell here??

Not to sound like an ass but are you sure its the phone and not the invisishield?

I know iPhones can get particularly hot in that spot on the phone, maybe the heat is causing some discoloration on the protective layer

No, I don't know that. I have never taken it off. That's a $25 test...lol

I'd lean to thinking it was this as well.

This is also what I'm thinking.

OP: I'd try removing it and looking. If it is that, just get a new one. If it's the phone, take it to Apple.

It's the Invisible shield, not the phone. I had the same thing happen to an invisible shield on my white iPad... the white border looked all dingy. turned out it was the dye from the leather smart cover rubbing off and embedding on the clear invisible shield. Similar things happened to my white iPhone 3GS with a invisible shield... if you our it in a case or anything that has a dar coloring, the coloring will eventually rub off onto the shield and it'll look dingy. You don't notice it on an black iDevice because, well, it's black.

Log into the ZAGG website, request a warranty replacement, and they ship a new one to you. Then replace it and send the old one back.

Well you answered your own question. You never took off the zagg back protector. Take it off, and it will be back to normal, get a new back protector.

It's the invisible shield not the phone. I don't get why you think they would replace it for discoloration on the back anyways. Not their fault you got it dirty.

I don't want the phone replaced! I'd hate to start over again. However, if it's not the zagg then I don't see why apple would replace it. It's not due to dirty hands, dude who posted that, it appears to be heat burn.

I will call zagg for a replacement. Won't take off until I get. Phone can't go naked. Must be tip top shape for iPhone 5 sale!

I just had Zagg replace my body kit for this reason! It was filthy when I peeled it off. Made the phone look like crap with it on and all dirty.

Go to zagg.com and request a replacement. They will mail you new one with a return envelope to send in the bad shield within 60 days.

They do ask for your CC info in case you decide to not send in the damaged one back :p They also charge $3.99 for shipping.

Mine was brown when I peeled it off. Also, since I had paid BB to install it, the re-install was free!

Goodluck... Don't hesitate to peel off that crappy one!! It will get replaced by Zagg.
