Not sure if this means anything, but on the Apple store in the US is specifically states: "White iPhone currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup" Whereas the UK store doesn't say anything about not being unavailable for pick-up. It states: "White iPhone currently unavailable for pre-order."

Does this just mean the pre-order and collection from store, or the actual walk in release on the 24th? Maybe this is a sorry from Apple and they're sending all white phones this way after the cock up over the iPad and making us wait for that?

Interested to hear what you think?

I don't think the white one will be available either US or UK. They have just worded it differently on each site.

The supplies for the different models are just different, maybe Apple just didn't stock the white one on their store because they anticipated the black being more popular?
