ok..... despite all the BS going around about the White iPhone, I think I can shed some light on what, in my opinion sounds logical and true (I could be %100 wrong, but it's better than nothing)
for starters, to hell with the ATT and Apple store, they know more than Radio Shack, and it's sad Radio Shack, is being the most user friendly.
So, I live in Westchester NY, and work in Stamford CT, (very close). After the frenzy the other day about everyone having a problem with pre orders for blacks, and no news on white, here is what I found.
The radio shack near me (message me if you want the #) seemed to have their act in gear. First, regarding any orders they took with giving customers pin numbers, IS NOT a iPhone reservation, it's just to get some $20 off (as I was told by the manager), next, I called today (again) around noonish, and the lady was compiling a physical list of "fist come fist serve". I put my name on the list, I was number 3 or 4. Maybe this radio shack is doing things differently. This is how they are going to run it, they will get the phones in late Wed, if they have no white, everyone is out of luck. IF they do, lets say, have 10, those ten on the list will get a call that evening saying come in tmrw and you have one. If you miss the call, they will or should leave a message, call back immediately!, if u get in contact, you should be good to go
