white line on macbook screen ???

i noticed today out of the blue a white horizontal line appeared on my macbook screen i thought it was some basic malfunction so i turned it off turned it on again and its stil there even when booting up its about a cm thick and its there whatever i do even when my screensaver is on can anyone help?

nar its a macbook i think its either the graphics card or the LCD screen it goes away when you take a screenshot so it must be the screen
