White Line

Please help me!
On my imac G5 display, there is a a long white line the crosses the screen and that stays permanently on the top of the scrren!!!
When I take a screenshot, the line doesn't appear, so I can't show it to you!
Even when I open a window, the line appears on the window...
HELP!!

lcd failure one of the chips at the very top of the panel has failed, thus all the little lights cant get the signal so they turn white.

Call Apple. They should give you a replacement. I hope you have Apple Care, or it's still under warranty.
