White Macbook-High Exhaust Fan Speed

hey,

I have had my MacBook for 3 years and it has run great. Recently I have noticed that my exhaust fan has been hovering around 6000 RPM for no apparent reason. When I took that screen shot I only had Safari Open

Here's the vitals on my Mac..

Any Thoughts?

Something is using 50% of your processing power. I'd take a look at Activity Monitor.

Something isn't adding up here..

I did notice the Safari Flash Player and Cache Preview seemed to fluctuate quite a bit

It's an extremely common mistake not to view All Processes.

I viewed All Processes and there was not a substantial difference.

Is there something else that could be running that would cause this?

yeah a root process which is under system processes, which your not showing... in the end making it impossible for us to help
