The laptop's been used from late 2007, I think (it's a school laptop). I only got it October last year, though (used to belong to the people two grades above me).
It's gone through at least four batteries, if that's important. Because if you run out of power in the middle of class and the teacher doesn't have a charger, you have to get a new battery. Most exchange batteries are terrible.
I had a pretty good one as of September this year, stayed at 100% health the whole time according to iStat. I can't use coconutbattery or system profiler because downloading apps is blocked and system profiler is too.
Then two weeks ago they decided to give us brand new batteries. At least they looked brand new, white and shiny with the plastic film on. That's the one I'm asking about. I've used it for two weeks (17 cycles) and the battery health is down to 92% (acc. to iStat).
So...is this normal?
