White Macbook Not Burning Correctly

I am trying to help a friend out here. Her white macbook has been burning cd's just fine until lately. First it will spit out blank cd's sometimes and tells her to insert a blank disc. We know that the disc was blank and tried multiple times, trying different disc. Second sometimes it will keep the disc in there then spit it out a couple minutes later and only have burned the first 4-8 songs. The rest of the cd (15 or so songs) will not play the music.

I have searched but doesn't seem like anybody has this exact problem.

She does have Apple Care and she is going to take it in but I figured if there is anything I can do before to see if it is not some software problem.

Any ideas? TIA

I had similiar problem with you with my macbook pro, what I did is, I bought the cd lense cleaner (cd with soft hairs under it, and a bottle of solutions), just try that. In my case I can write again after that.
