White Macbook vs. recent MBAs

I can't seem to find any comparisons between older white macbook vs. recent macbook airs.

How much faster do you think the newest MBAs are compared with the last white MacBook?

Can't do any real Logic Pro (no 3rd party instruments)/Adobe/CAD work on my 2007 MacBook so I'm looking to upgrade.

Do you think the latest MBA would be ok? I don't want the MBP since it's heavy.
