So, what is the deal with the $999 white macbook? Are they just leftovers? Or are they still gonna make them?

My guess is they're going to sell them until the second revision of the Aluminum Books, then they'll phase them out.

I just picked up a white Macbook 2.1ghz with the Combo drive for $849 at Best Buy, same price as a refurb. just couldn't see putting another $450 into for the Alum.

Their going to sell them until there are none left. Steve said they will still make them, but I highly doubt they will. They probably just have A LOT of extra stock.
