White mark appeared on my screen. What is this?

Hi guys while I was using my mac today I noticed there was a mark on my screen I thought it was dirt but it wasnt I was trying to clean but it wasnt going away. I turned my imac off and I noticed that there is a mark on my screen. After a while its turned off the white mark went away. I still have warranty till beginning of the next month shall I send it to warranty or is it caused from a minor thing?

Yeah just phoned them and told them I will take it to the service tomorrow but it is not there anymore what can they do for it while its not there?

Also my mac gets far too hot in the back while Im just browsing internet. I have got 12gb memory it should not run like crazy while only surfing internet isnt it?

Show them the pics and tell them it gets hot for no reason.

What browser are you using?

Are you viewing flash content?

What year iMac is this? Units before the flatty came out get very hot.

I think they cook the screens, TBH, causing that.

Take it to apple say it also gets too hot and they will give it a good cleaning out which will be useful before the warranty ends.

Though if you have a can of compressed air or even better an air line plus a towel to baffle the rear slot, best if someone helps holding that in place be prepared for the inevitable dust cloud from below. When it all stops coming out use the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner baffled with a towel along the bottom edge.

If you use an air line do it in bursts!

Bought it 3 years ago from John Lewis in the UK. They do 3 year guarantee. its 27 inch one not the flat one as you thought.

It doesnt shut down.

Yes I watch football and youtube videos.

It used to make fan noise I deleted millions of junk file in my mac and that stopped the fan noise.
