I have a new white Macbook with the Nvidia 9400M. I have it hooked up to my 23" HP 2335 LCD using a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter.
Tonight as I was playing around I fired up Frontrow. At the black screen I saw all kinds of random horizontal colored lines flash all over the screen. I exited Frontrow and my screen seemed ok.
Since I usually use a very bright colored wallpaper I decided to change it to black to see if it was just a Frontrow issue.
Sure enough, I see the same flurry of odd/random horizontal colored lines/splotches bounce around. Sometimes they go away for a few seconds, sometimes there are a lot of them.
So, what do you think it could be? I'll try to take my Mini-DVI adapter to work with the Macbook and test it out with my LCD there too.
I just returned a refurb MB with some minor issues and I won't be at all happy if I have to take this one back as well. I haven't had issues with my previous Apple computers, but I'm not doing all that well with my latest units.
