Great, just noticed there is a white pixel on my screen. Not very obvious on dark backgrounds but obvious enough on white backgrounds. Do I have to change the display like this?

You can go in an see what Apple can do for you, or you can live with it.

This is my nightmare every time I buy a new phone. I'd crawl into my closest and try to spot any dead pixels

When you get a new phone either scratch the screen or put a nice dent in the case. The one pixel issue will seem totally insignificant. It's all a matter of perspective.

Think of the millions of other pixels you could be looking at, stop concentrating on the one. Try watching a video. Give the other pixels a chance to shine.
