After I plugged in my second generation iPod touch to charge last night, I checked on it before I went to bed. When I pressed the home button, the screen was completely white.

I tried a hard reset (holding down power and home button), but when the Apple logo was supposed to show up, it never did. However, after about five minutes, the white screen showed up again.

I then tried a DFU mode restore to no avail either.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Is it jailbroken?

It was, but after the restore, no. Despite the restore, the issue is still occurring.

Just an update: Took a trip to the Apple Store and they replaced the device. They're not sure what caused it though
