My hinges broke and I dropped by 2008 MacBook Air. I turned it on and the screen is white. I can hear the start up chime. I replaced the hinges, LCD cable, and the LCD panel. I bought a complete assembly from eBay. The seller guaranteed me it worked. I installed it and the screen still is white. I can connect a external monitor and the computer will work just fine. Is there anyway to test the logic board? I have read that I may need to reset SMC, PRAM, or disconnect the hard drive and boot from a USB drive because the hard drive could have got messed up in the fall. But if that is so, wouldn't the external monitor show white also? Thanks
