White screen of death???

I have a iPhone 3gs 3.1.3 unlock phone but every time I try to unlock the screen is just white but I cam hear the unlock slide unlocking and txt messages Im getting but it's just white, when I push the sleep button on top again it goes back to normal any ideas how I can fix it

Restore and set up as a new phone. I'm sorry I can't help much more than that as I have no idea what causes this issue. it's always worth restoring every once in a while to keep things fresh and running smooth.

In in the u.s I don't think they can unlock it o jailbroke it and how can I restore without upgrading because I have a jailbroken
