White screen when waking up S4

Last week my S4 started displaying a white screen at wake up before displaying the face. It eventually stopped turning on and the white screen would come on if I hit the side button or dial. Resetting by holding the dial and side button did nothing.

I thought it was a goner...until today. I hit the side button and the green charging snake screen appeared. I charged it for a few hours and now it’s back to life! However, the white screen still appears before wake up.

I've tried the following:
1. Hard reset
2. Unpairing and set up with backup
3. Unpairing and set up as new watch

Any ideas on the issue? I couldn’t find anything relevant via search. Thanks

Maybe an issue with the display driver? Seems like a hardware issue not software...

That is odd. It almost looks like the flashlight is turning on briefly, but I can’t think of any settings that enable that

Yep. My battery life is awful now. 100% at 7am to 10% at 5:30pm. I may end up trading up to the S6. 🤔
