I have a mid-2010 MacBook running 10.9.4.
I had, without my knowledge, left my MacBook in the car overnight and left it on. It is somewhat warm inside the car, and that's what concerns me. I then used it for about half an hour, not really bothering to turn it off and leave it off for a while and maybe cool off, and the screen suddenly froze and turned white. I put it to sleep mode and turned it back on to see what that would do, and it was set to the login screen that you would see when you first turn on the computer. The computer works fine now.
I'm not sure if there's actually something wrong with it, but it would be nice to know what's going on.
