My mid-2009 MacBook Pro has developed two white spots on the screen near the bottom (a little above the dock), only visible against a white or light coloured background (such as the light blue background used on this site). The spots really are small -- like the screen has developed pimples!
One is brighter than the other. I've tried the usual techniques such as massaging the spots but nothing fixes it. There's no trauma on the aluminium lid at those spots. They're not dead pixels as far as I can tell because they fade away at the edges.
Anybody got any ideas what they are? They've arisen over the last year or so. They haven't been there since day one.
