After letting my phone sit in rice for a few days, I turned it back on. Everything works great, except that there are now white spots under the screen that are only visible on light backgrounds. I've seen this issue mentioned in other posts but never directly adressed. Could anyone tell me what the spots are from? Surely this isn't still moisture under the screen.. Potential fixes short of taking it apart or getting a new phone? Thanks.

It's more than likely residue from minerals and other stuff that was in the water, that remains behind once the water itself has evaporated.

That makes sense. It happened at work while washing windows with a (probably not clean) bucket of soapy tap water. Damn. Guess I'll just hang until the 4S or something.
