I just got this macbook air a couple months ago now, and about a month ago I saw these dots at the bottom of the screen just above the 'Macbook Air' logo (only visible on lighter backgrounds, but grey as well).

It's four tiny dots clumped together. This morning when I opened the MacBook it wasn't there, but gradually they appeared one by one.

Any idea what it is? It's hard to photograph - much brighter and noticeable in person.

They look like dead pixels on the panel. Have you tried running a dead pixel test? It's still under warranty if the screen is defective.

They seem too large to be pixels, the pixel grid is visible in the pic and is much smaller than any one of the four dots.

They also appear only after the macbook has been on for over a minute or so and then stay there.

Would a pressure mark do this and thus not be covered?
