I've had my rMBP since last July.

Sometime in November I had the screen replaced with a samsung because of serious image retention.

Since then I've been having some issues with white spots slowly emerging on the screen. You can only see them if the brightness is on against a black background.

It can be really aggravating when watching movies, because there can be several scenes with dark/black backgrounds.

The spots seem to feel like scratches to me, because when I rub my finger across them I can feel a dent in that spot.

That sucks, because I keep my rMBP screen very clean all the time. I wipe it down every time I close it and have been very careful with having dust or dirt around it. In fact I use iKlear on the screen at least twice a week.

Anyway, it all started with one white spot right in the middle of my screen. These are very very small spots. Now I have about 7 at different places on my screen.

What are these and why are they appearing?
