There's a white streak on the bottom left corner of my MacBook Pro, which I purchased in May of 2008. I think it's getting bigger. It's annoying but it's not the end of the world, I'm just worried it will take over my screen. Because all my work is online I can't live without my laptop so am hesitant to take it in unless it's a big deal.

It almost looks like a big piece of tape was on the laptop screen and then ripped off, leaving this white spot. It's at least 2 inches long and maybe half an inch tall. it's bright white, everything is visible underneath but much brighter. I tried taking a screenshot but obvs the problem is on the screen, not underneath it.

has anyone else had this problem?

Take a photo instead?

Take it you have 3 year AppleCare? You should get it checked out anyway, and find out what the repair time would be etc, and if it is even covered.
