Hi, I'm asking this question based on my observation. I have an iPhone 5s and 6s which have a black home button (Touch ID) and an iPhone SE (1st gen) and 7 which having a white home button. All four of my iPhones have been using for a long time and especially my 5s have been abused heavily. It has been dropped a lot

When I look at their home buttons. I noticed that my iPhones that have a black home button doesn't have any scratches whatsoever, even my heavily abused 5s. But when I look at my white home buttons, they all have a lot of scratches. What's the matter with white buttons? 🤔

As I know, iPhones home buttons (or touch ID) were covered with sapphire and they're very hard to be scratched. But the white buttons did scratch (a lot).

Can anyone explain for me about this?

Thanks!
