Whither Topher Kessler and MacIssues?

To answer my own question, one commenter at MacIssues forum posted this:
"[Friend of a friend] reported back that Topher is alive and well. He has, unfortunately, abandoned [the MacIssues] website and has no interest in it any longer. When I mentioned how I thought this was unlike Topher to walk away like this without at least letting his readers know what is happening the person was, shall I say, amused. If this person is to be believed, Topher has done this throughout his life. He is always moving from one job/project to another without looking back at what he just left, and couldn't care less how it affects others."
