Who actually has one in hand now? Post your impressions: screen, battery life

Those are the only meaningful changes, along with the price cuts.
Please let us know if the screen and battery life are really improved.
With regards to the battery life, the old macbook pros with matte screen had a 60 wh battery. The new macbook pros have a battery that's 58 wh. So I am not sure that the battery life will be 7 hours (when on the nvidia 9600 graphics).

My matte macbook pro gets somewhere around 3 hours with the 60 wh battery. I'd expect the same for this newest one. So in my mind, not really an improvement.
 
apologies, 73 wh battery in new macbook pro 15". This indeed should make for pretty good battery life, esp on the 9400m ('integrated') chipset.

edit: 13" 58 wh
17" 95 watt hour

FYI: my standard dell 6 cell battery is 56 wh, and a 9 cell is 84 watt hours in the windows world.

So I would say that this is like an 8 cell battery, coupled with what I perceive to be slightly superior power conservation skills in mac os x, and this should last quite a while. It should be esp. attractive for people like me who don't like bulky batteries that protrude or make the unit thicker...b/c if I wanted that I'd just carry two batteries.
 
I just called the Southlake, TX store. The worker said they don't have any as of yet and are expecting them "any day now."
 
I don't think any retail stores have them yet. They all say they are expecting them tomorrow.
