I just booked my 16 GB iPhone 5 on gazelle for $330. Anybody else doing the same in anticipation of 5s?

I figure off contract a 5S 32 GB should run me about $213.99 after my iPhone 5 check comes. (That's because AT&T off contract iPhones are cheap... $549 for 32GB)

I have a nasty ding (dent) on mine by the bezel. i dropped my phone that one flippin day I didn't have my rugged case on it. The case was off for no more than 10 minutes and the phone fell on the tile floor in our apartment hallway. Talk about bad luck

I was thinking of selling it, but I dont think many will want to buy unless I take a huge hit. I have the 5 16 GB as well.

You can sell it on eBay for around $500 if it's in good condition... even after fees it's way more worth it than Gazelle.

selling after, right now is the worst time to sell. News stations are commenting on the new iphone, everyone is anticipating it.

Not a bad plan to get a decent upgrade. Will I lose my AT&T grandfathered unlimited data plan by doing this?

Gazelle will lock price until OCT 15. I don't have to even send it in at all if I decide not to.

No. I'm buying off contract, and AT&T discounts off-contract iPhone by $200

Gazelle will give you $315 for a "good" iPhone (cosmetic signs of wear) you don't even have to sell, if you decide not to. But I think locking the price now, while its the biggest, baddest model was a cool plan.

I'll be keeping my iPhone 5. I realized I really don't need to purchase the new iPhone every year. But anyway, I would stay away from websites like Gazelle and stick to Craig's List (you'll get more for your iPhone).

One more note... I travel for work... I'm not in one place long enough for Craigslist. And even when I'm at home, the nearest city with a Craigslist is 2 hours away.

I just did this today even though I'm undecided if I'm getting a 5S yet.

Quick question though. Where would one get an AT&T 32gb 5S for $549?

$549 is an early upgrade ($299 + $250). You're just extended your contract another two more years.

If it's in mint condition, you'll able to get $400, more if unlocked. I'm getting ready to sell mine in about a week.

looking to sell my 4s once this comes out. Factory unlocked 64gb white. Hoping the prices dont plummet on ebay. Can get around 400 for it. Also have some accessories(bumper case, matte front and back protector, proclip mount)

I don't think you're doing what you think you're doing.

AT&T doesn't discount off-contract iPhones, they charge you more to upgrade and extend your contract. It's called an early upgrade. It's offered if you don't have a regular upgrade available. You'll pay $250 over the regular subsidized price plus you'll be extending your contract 2 more years.

I was just assuming that the new iPhone will follow iPhone 5's pricing. That's the "early upgrade" for iPhone. It's $200 more than regular upgrade price.

I did know that, I just didn't know the technical term for it. And yeah, I don't mind extending my contract 2 more years.

Anyone want to PM me a shipped price to 91345 for their iphone 5 which will work with t-mobile?

I am selling my Galaxy S3 and want to go back to iPhone. Dont mind a 5 because am planning on getting a new 6 when they come out.

Just sold my iphone 4, 16 gig with small scratch in front for $180.00, i have an upgrade, so just waiting till it comes out. Using 3GS till than.

I have a question though. If I decide to sell my 5 and get a 5S, can I walk into an apple store on release day and buy one for full price or will they only sell them for upgrades with subsidized pricing?

We won't know until the release gets closer.
