Seen a lot of 14 vs 15 camera comparisons, but I have an X and Id like to see how these phones compare for everyday shooting. Does anyone who bought a 15 Pro have an X and can take some identical photos with both to compare?

I do. Although, I’m far from an expert so I probably wouldn’t be utilizing the 15 Pro’s camera(s) to their full extent — however, I have been occasionally reading and watching photography tips blogs, videos, etc.

Awesome! Anyone else / any others? That’s exactly what I’m looking for, very helpful!

Okay, you convinced me to participate. :)

I did no manual mode selection, no adjustments, only just a tap to focus on some.

I went further and used the (5x) telephoto:

If it wasn’t so late and freezing out, I would have gone home, brought back my tripod, and tried to get a clearer capture as I was so impressed.

The 15 pro has a MUCH better camera and it works with the new Apple intelligence suite of features
It has a ton more power than the XS and much better battery. It is better in general. The XS is still a great phone if you don’t care as much about AI and some other features and just want a good phone

I just tanked my XS Max in the river so I was forced to upgrade to a 15 Pro Max. My observations:
  • The display quality improvement is noticeable, especially in bright situations and I actually enjoy the always on feature.
  • Magsafe is way more useful than I expected, although I had a MagSafe-like case on my XS Max (magnet wasn't nearly as string though in many situations).
  • USB-C... Meh, I've had several USB-C ports fail on MacBooks and iPads. I always found Lightning to be reliable. But thanks to Qi I almost never use the port anymore (wish the iPad Pro had a Qi option).
  • I find the action button mostly useless, same with my Apple Watch Ultra.
  • Cameras alone are worth the upgrade.
Overall though, I probably would have kept my XS Max until no more OS supported updates.

Use good quality usb c cables from apple, u green, anker etc. Also it opens up considerably faster transfer speeds than lightning and can use usbc accessories like external audio dacs etc, so USBC is a big upgrade for me personally on my 15 pro.
