Yes I don’t set up cellular on my series 6 gold stainless steel. Ain’t gonna pay extra for that and I keep my iPhone with me all the time.

Only if I can’t have my iPhone with me and can still wear my watch then I would get it
I used to have a LTE enabled Se 1st gen without a plan, and at that point the LTE model was a very similar price to the GPS only

Also to add cellular to an Apple Watch on my carrier, they’d also have to run thru some eligibility requirements.

I do have to get a cellular model anyway as well stainless steel and titanium models have it as a standard. But cellular isn’t mandatory for Apple Watch setup except for pairing as Apple Watch for Kids/Family sharing which also has the option to use a different carrier independent from the iPhone

Yes, I bought my cellular stainless steel series 9 mostly for the sapphire screen, but also because it can call emergency services, even without a plan, should it ever be needed.

I don't have cellular activated on my U2.. I won't pay $7.50-15 for the service considering it uses the same number my phone uses. It should be included in my Verizon cellular plan

I had a series 5 cellular w/o a plan for 3 yrs or so. But visible has apple watch date plan included in the 35/month plan. So its a no brainer. I rarely use cellular though.

I had cellular on my 6 for about three months, realized I was never using it and cancelled.

I mainly got it for running as I don't like to carry my phone, but I typically trail run and the parks/national forest I go to doesn't have cell service at all, so.... ah well.
