My button goes down further on the right side when pressed and it's bothering the piss outta me:mad: Anyone else have a crooked home button? Does it bother you too?

Yup mine is mushy too I guess you can call it that, if you push down on the right bottom side not much of a click, and very stiff on the

left side. If I push down in the middle you can't notice it too much but it bugs me. also if I don't push on it directly in the center it

doesn't always respond. I have an appt. at an Apple store tommorow so we'll see how it goes....

Keep me updated. I'm curious about how Apple treats this problem.

Mine is also mushy, more so on the left side. I'd take mine back, but I don't want to look like a whiny douche.

i feel the same way. phones perfect. no dead pixels or anything. But that darn home button isnt perfect! Maybe it breaks in over time

Did you get anywhere with the mushy home button? My first 3gs had one and Apple replaced it. My new one is the same now. What do i do now!

you stop complaining

how often do you hit the home button on the side instead of the middle? it could just be how the mechanical component of the button is being moved.

just grow up and stop complaining.

Yeah, my friend's 3GS is just like that, but Apple said so many people are returning their iPhones for "Cosmetic" blemishes that in fact do not take away from the operation of the iPhone's ability to be an iPhone, that they turned her away. She just went to another Apple Store and got it replaced.....:eek::eek:

I was visiting the genus bar

about actual issue and we had a laughing over how OCD some people are I mean some of the stuff people come up with! every time I think I have seen it all Mac Rumors comes though again. oh I can rock my button I guess I better make my genus appt.

it's simple if it bugs you make appt at the genus bar and ask or call apple support ask if it sounds normal.

Another +1 on people being a little to anal over their iPhone. It is a phone after all. Its in my pocket (when not in use) not on some sort of alter. I use it and even if my home button was crooked, it would not bother me.

FYI - I'm anal in many areas of my life, not just with my iPhone. Everyone is more anal about certain things and less about other things...that's just how life is.

in my opinion unless there is something that actually inteferes with the iphones intended functionality its fine stop being so anal about everything

That's code for really anal and mega OCD. I predict many more threads like this from you.

I'm really anal, but not OCD (says my doctor). And I won't be posting more threads like these until the next iPhone comes out because I've already made up my mind to keep this subpar iPhone.

And you don't already?

Mine is perfect, i've had a couple with crooked buttons, but they have been replaced for legitimate reasons.

I've never paid attention to the position of my home button, but I guess not or else I would've known.

[Off topic] The home button is entirely tough, I saw a picture of an entirely smashed iPhone and there were no dents or dings in the home button.
