I have an iPhone 12 with only data on it because I have a really old t-mobile plan I dont want to change. I may add the Max and mini on my plan as data only or just the Max and pay full price for the mini to be used on Verizon. I'll look up my plan if that helps. Is this a good idea or will t-mobile allow me to add them as the regular way. I should have asked the guy but will reach out to them.asap. thanks

So to update all, i was able to add my iphone 12 as a data.only line for only $20 per month. So im really happy. I use Google voice/hangouts for calls and text across the board.

I contacted AT&T to do this. The person through text said I couldn't. I'd have to set it up on a regular plan for $75. I just use the phone for photos and uploads. I've been connecting to the hotspot on my iPhone 12. I found it sometimes loses the connection. The main this is I misplaced the phone yesterday. Having a data plan would have made it a lot easier to find. My iPad has an unlimited data plan for $20 per month.

Any suggestions?

I’d recommend considering “Visible”. $25 (including taxes and everything) a month and it comes with true unlimited data + unlimited hotspot. They are owned by Verizon and e-sim is optional which I already use.

Data speed on congested towers can get really bad at times (I’ve seen 0.5 Mbps and lower) but all good other times .

How much data do you need and do you have any carrier preferences?

Visible is good if you're not in a busy area. I was hoping to switch from expensive Verizon postpaid to Visible. Unfortunately, deprioritization is really bad in my location.

Here's a Speedtest I ran just now.

I don't need a lot of data so Visible might be a good option. I would have been paying about $25 with taxes if AT&T could have given it a data plan.

att prepaid $40 a month for 15Gb full speed. I also have unlimited Verizon from work, but a lot of times found att had signal and verizon did not.
