I recently hit my 10-year anniversary of my retirement from the Air Force and I was wondering who else has retired or served for Uncle Sam? Maybe a short job title and where stationed could be included. I'll bet someone will know someone else as the military is a big, yet close, family.

Public Affairs (photojournalist) for the Air Force from 1978-1998.
Stationed Dyess AFB, Texas; Homestead AFB, Fla.; Ramstein AB, Germany; Randolph AFB, Texas; Wilford Medical Center, Texas; Norfolk Naval Air Station, Va. And, of course, many TDYs.
Desert Shield.

Still a few more years in the Navy for me. Just made CDR I figure there is no reason to leave anytime soon

Navy Machinist Mate 1988-1993
Supply Corps Officer 1993-
Orlando, FL; Bahrain; Norfolk, VA (a few times:2 ships and some shore duty); Gulfport, MS; New Orleans and of course a year in Iraq/Kuwait.

Army ROTC until my one semester left when I couldn't run without my knee blowing up. I've spent the last five years trying to get my knee in running shape and avoiding letting the same happen to the other knee. I think I'm there.

I've got a few more years (I'm just shy of 30) to make it past the USAF JAG selection board. With one board every two months, I'm pretty sure I'll get back in. It's where I should be.

I was very interested in it back in college, and even recently looked into joining the National Guard. But not the right thing for me at this time.

I have friends who served, and took college classes at a Navy Base and got to know a few enlisted folks.

Edit: Hopefully this is not seen as hi-jacking the thread/too off topic. :)

Just hit 7 years Active Army, first 4 as Microwave Radio Tech, now a Public Affairs specialist.
