Hey so I have an iPhone SE Gen 2 and I would really like to switch to the 13 Mini. Is this a worthy upgrade? I have tried it a few times in the Apple Store and I really like the size. Plus I really like the dark green colour. Perhaps I'm just growing tired of the old or outdated style of the SE with the home button.

get the apple magsafe battery pack and airpods 3rd gen
Why would he or she would need to get AirPods 3rd gen ? You can get them with any iPhone at anytime plus the op might not have the budget to get them right now and he or she can add them later

These are definitely NOT a necessary accessory for use of the 13 Mini.
My wife has had one from launch, it still lasts a full day with her usage on an overnight charge. Plus the battery pack negates the smaller size of the mini.
AirPods are a nice addition for any iPhone, but not a requirement of owning one

I already have 3rd Gen AirPods but that was not part of my question. The iPhone 13/13 mini came out in September 2021. It's a year and a half old. Is it still a worthwhile option. Also considering Apple may not make a "mini" phone again.

Heck ya! Did this exact scenario back in March. And also did it in green.

I'm not constantly on my phone, so smaller battery is not an issue. Processors in phones are so good these days that for most people the processing power is overkill imo, so will never tax it. Personally not seeing any performance issues.

Not a digital pack rat so base model of 128GB is good enough for me (only using 41GB) and not complaining that there is no mega-sized memory options.

Never had real issue with 6-SE2 model size, but find Mini more comfortable than the SE2 now. Definitely notice difference now when I pull out the old SE2.

And, bottom line, since looks like SE 2024 will be a 6.1" style model, Mini and current SE is last chance for foreseeable future to get in on a small phone. As mentioned, might not see 13 Mini being offered after September phone announcement, so might not want to wait too long and then be relying on someone outside of Apple still carrying inventory. And this is why I pulled the trigger on a Mini while I could.
