So I was looking for a new motherboard for my computer, buying a brand new one was a stretch so I waited patiently for something to appear on Bay.

I don't even know what this guy was thinking. I paid ~$200NZD for this motherboard and he ships it overseas in a plastic shopping bag and packing peanuts that don't even fill the box properly.

The ******* is lucky it worked.

You are also damned lucky customs didn't look...If I remember correctly NZ food import laws would have "Grabbed those nuts"...:D

So you bought some used hardware from a foreigner on eBay at a price that would get you a brand new motherboard - and not even a cheap one - at your local dealer.

What was the title of this thread again?

(sorry, couldn't resist...)

Actually, I needed an LGA1156 board. They simply don't exist readily in New Zealand anymore. A decent board plus a new CPU quickly get into the $400+ range.

What did we learn?

I don't know - maybe that it must suck to live in NZ, because elsewhere there is no shortage of boards for that socket type?

Aww man i remember when i use to live in New Zealand(hence my username) all electronics were either bought online for cheaper price and availability, or go to Australia.
