I'm curious. For those who record and edit with iphone 7/plus with hissing issue, how do you work around it?
I got a second iphone 7 plus...and still hissing. Looks like I'm all for refunding...unfortunately....because the photo taking images were great...and video quality.I read from posts from previous forum members that there really is no way around it. It depends on the environment you would be recording in and if the coil wind is louder, Compared to filming in a less noisy environment. Seems Most have opted for a replacement.

Luckily I still have 6 plus...and should be good till next iphone comes out. You must be lucky because you don't hear the hissing, right? That's not good. Then I would get your money back and hopefully there is something else that would suit your needs. The issue is the coil wind (Hissing) is coming from where the microphone is and Happens when the CPU is under a heavy load. Some iPhones appear to struggle with it and others don't.

Are you on unlocked version? or are you on month service thing? No. My iPhone is a week 34 iPhone and I ordered it on launch day. I tested it numerous times and have had no issues. I agree it's annoying and horribly inconvenient for Those who record a lot.

Who is using iphone 7 plus to record while hissing?
That's true...but it's really annoying to go through all that. ThanksI have the 7 Plus and none of my videos have hissing. I've had the settings at 1080 and 4k, no issues.
But, if I did have hissing, I would upload the video into Final Cut Pro and remove hum. Hope this helps.
