This afternoon we both got the UK Government test emergency alert - as expected.

But where does the alert go? Hadn't thought about it since last test, but my assumption was that I would find it in Messages. That makes sense to me - even if there are technical reasons somewhere else might have been chosen.

As soon as I acknowledged it, I automatically clicked on the X to close it. And it was gone.

Had a real alert contained important information, well, tough. Or am I being dumb?

While I'm at it, wouldn't it make sense to go to Messages simply so that it is accessible on non-phones like iPads?

For me it appeared on the notification screen. I deleted it from there so didn’t notice if it was somewhere else.

One thing I did notice is it was much quieter this time. For the last test, and then a storm warning, it was very loud. I was on a bus when it went off, and not much of a reaction from anyone.

I did receive it twice on EE. Once at 15.00, then ten minutes later. Person sitting in front of me got a second alert at 15.20

My friend told me to expect the message on Sunday afternoon. Of course I TOTALLY forgot about it. The phone made some God awful noise, and for a moment I thought it was all coming to an end. I was remorseful, as I have finally found happiness. But thankfully it was just a test. And I agree, the message is long gone. Had it have had important info, I don't know how to retrieve it.

It’s still on my phone. I did dismiss it on my watch but as I say still readable on the phone. I think in the event of a real alert they will make it so it can’t be dismissed

I had forgotten as well - but the moment I heard it, and there were two phones within inches of me, I remembered.
