Got this MacBook Pro two months ago now and absolutely love it!

14". 64 GBs of RAM. 1 TB SSD. and the ULTIMATE M1 Max 32-Core GPU. Silver. Upgraded from a Dell XPS 15 from 2018.

This thing has transformed my life as a designer. No longer does a teams call destroy any multitasking capability I have with my computer. No longer does Figma set my fans on max and make my computer run 95 degrees celsius. No longer do I decide to stay and work from home because my computer is too annoying to bring along. No longer do girls reject my advances because of my janky laptop.

Ok, ignoring the last one there, who else is absolutely IN LOVE with their 14" MacBook Pros! Holler here guys!!!

No 16" owners allowed! Take your improved thermals and battery life and get a move on! I'll take my improved portability any day!

Yep, I hated my 16" i9 2019 because every little thing I'd do would send the fans to the moon. I have a 14 M1 Max also and it's unbelievable what it can do and remain cool doing it. Just having Photoshop, Premiere and AE open in the background while doing other stuff (with a 4k60 monitor connected!) consumes no additional battery if away from the desk and generates zero heat unless I'm actively rendering or working hard within the apps. It's a godsend.

The battery runs circles around my old 16" too - I know the M1 Pro/Max 16" beats us out but the 14 is no slouch either in battery life.

I just got my 14" M1 Pro on Christmas Eve and I've been on it every day since. I'm trading in my early 2020 MBA. No more fans running when I'm on Zoom, and I'm ecstatic about that!

I absolutely LOVE my 14" Max! It's my favorite Mac ever; and I've owned dozens of Macs in my life. It's just so well designed, solid, and a joy to use. I ordered it on day one and received it among the first batch to deliver. I find the design beautiful as well; but I love purpose built (utilitarian) and minimalistic designs.

It's so flexible. I never have to think about performance at all because I know whatever I throw at it; it will perform, and not struggle with loud fans.

The screen also is the most amazing screen I have ever experienced. I feel as if I'm experiencing HDR content for the first time the way it was meant to be. Prior to this I didn't really like the HDR effect much, but now I realize it was more the quality of my Sony TV that made HDR less than it could be.

So very satisfied -- even though this is the most expensive computer I have ever purchased. Zero complaints.

100% 16” inchers are trash behemoths 14” is amazing 10 Core 32GB model here with 1TB. Every other laptop on the Market struggles in some way. But not Apple’s 14” mega power and battery life. Sure a Windows based Razer gaming Laptop is more powerful. But not really with a 3 hour battery life, and Performance that drops by 60% when it’s not plugged into an outlet.

Im literally just waiting for the 3nm M3 Max models with 12-20 Cores and 64 Cores GPU and WiFi 6e and Face ID. Til then the 14” will do.

Due to lack of stock, a friend waited for two months and still had no news. He planned to buy 14-inch 64G, 2T. Yesterday there was a 16-inch 32G1T version in stock. He chose 16-inch.

I have both the 16 and 14 M1 models and I love them both. The 16 is for work but I decided I wanted a 14 for personal (I saw it was in stock at my apple store two days ago so that decided it lol). So far, it's been an amazing experience!

I agree! 16 inch MacBook Pros are trash! They are the Nissan Altimas of MacBook Pros!

I'm definitely liking my 14" M1 Pro 10/16/32gb/1TB - I upgraded from the 2016 13" MBP w/ 4 Ports (the first gen of the touchbar/4 TB3 ports), which I was admittedly fairly happy with. I had gone through both a 1) butterfly keyboard replacement (doubling keys - wasn't that bad as I often used closed clamshell into external display w/ separate keyboard) and 2) the spotlight display issue. Both were fixed for free in last 2 years given the Apple service programs that were available to me and my model, which also gave me the benefit of a new battery / top case w/ keyboard / display after 3-4 years of using it.

It worked out fine for me, and other than that, I was actually fairly happy with my machine. It was getting slower, but still fine for my needs (I'm admittedly someone who doesn't need the power, but likes having newer tech when I can every couple years).

I've used this for almost 2 months now (pre-ordered on day-of after the keynote) and got it in early Nov. While I don't use it for work on weekdays, I'm on it for an hour or two at night while in bed. And occasionally for a few hours on weekends in closed clamshell mode into an external 4K 27" monitor.

I'm really happy with it - couldn't ask for more.

But at the same time, I will say that I've hit the point the "newness" has worn off. And it's just "another laptop" to me now, with some incremental benefits of course (biggest for me is the gorgeous display), but by and large still primarily doing what my old 2016 13" MBP could do.

Still love it though!

I had a 16” 10/16/1TB. Today I picked up a vase 14” 8/16/512gb. I decided both had enough power for me, but it came down to a $650 price difference when the only different was really the form factor. So I’m transferring my data now and I’m excited to see how I like the 14”

I also love my 14" MBP. I was on the fence on release day. In the afternoon I saw a local store had the M1 Pro 10/16 16gb RAM 1TB still in stock and paid the $9 for 2 hour delivery. I upgraded from the 13" M1 Pro. The extra screen real estate and ports made the difference for me.

I have the base 14" and love it!

For my marketing and graphic work, it handles everything very well. I was on a 2017 MacBook before, and it was really starting to show it's age (I briefly used my sisters M1 MBA after my little MB broke, and that was also an amazing machine, but I would often use up the 8gbs of RAM).

For casual video editing and putting together my photography book, it's been amazing. I can have LightRoom + Photoshop open at the same time and the machine remains very quiet. Mass exports are quick, and everything feels instantaneous!

My 12" MB got me through 4 years of college, I'm hoping this MacBook Pro will get me through the first 4 or more years of being a working adult!

The 12" MB is my favorite laptop from a design perspective, period! They NEED to bring something like that back for the next Air. The ultimate setup would be an iMac Pro for home use, and a 12" MB parked in my backpack all the time, ready for me to leave the house.

That being said, the 14" MacBook Pro with a few external monitors on the desk is the next best thing! Extra portable powerhouse!

I love mine. I've had for five weeks now. I've been using a 13" for years, and now I have a larger screen in the same sized body. I love that it runs cool and silent. I haven't pushed it hard, but I haven't heard the fans once. I've run Bespoke, an audio synth app where the most basic setup would immediately crank the fans to full blast on my 2015 MBP, but it is absolutely silent on my new machine.

LOVE mine! Used a 2013 MBP up until the pandemic. Got a 2019 intel i7 16-inch, which ran like a space heater. Traded that in for an M1 Air, which was fantastic but needed a beefier computer for my photography and graphic design needs. FINALLY settled on a base 14-inch. It's absolutely perfect. My first Mac was a 14-inch 2004 iBook G4. This definitely harkens back to that old machine, but in a much better way.

I love mine too! Have just the 14 base model, hope this counts! HA!
I did think at first I wanted to larger 16, but for me the footprint was huge!

Hmmm... That's concerning. Which model and what in Zoom does that?

I was considering getting a used 2020 MBA Core i3 next year for my kid for school, but if the fans ramp up all the time, I'll look at something else like an Apple M1 refurb. I would have guessed the i3 would stay quiet and it's the i7 and maybe i5 that would ramp up the fan, but it would be nice to know for sure.

I'm still hanging onto my 2017 12" with 16 GB RAM for now. No M1/M2 laptop for me.

It’s the 2020 Intel MBA, 8GB Ram, 512 SSD. Every time I used zoom for an hour or more, the fans would kick in. Sometimes I did have other things open in the background though.

Thanks. Which CPU though? There are three options for that model, i3, i5, and i7. I was thinking the i3 wouldn't ramp up the fan but I'm not sure.
