It doesn't have a "drive" as such. It's just FLASH chips soldered onto the board. The controller is in the M4 SoC. I assume the FLASH is sourced from whoever and tested.
If you want something equivalent for your PC, you probably won't notice anything better than a PCIe 4.0 Samsung 990 Pro unless you have specific use cases. The new Samsung PCIe 5.0 ones are still well in unknown territory.
The Crucial PCIe 5.0 drives have been getting more positive reviews overall compared to the Samsung drives. Sometimes you can get them at a noticeably lower price than Samsung's parts. Additionally, there's no need to go with 5.0 if your motherboard does not support it.
