Same thing happened when the X came out. I used the 11 Pro for 2 weeks just like the X and couldn’t get used to it and retuned it and kept my 8 non Plus.

I much much much prefer the way the 8 non plus chassis form factor is for 1 hand navigation. And I prefer the compactness of the 8 non Plus. I don’t have a desk job and the 11 Pro sticks out of my cell phone pocket on my work pants. The 8 non Plus fits like a glove in there.

Maybe it’s the bezels on the 8 non Plus that makes it more preferred to me for navigation. It’s like I don’t have to move my thumb too much vs the 11 Pro.

I’m jonesing for an 8 non Plus form factor with almost the same specs as the 11 Pro but I doubt it will happen. The rumored SE won’t meet the specs for me so that’s out.

Anyone else?

I still have my iPhone 8 ..non plus. I have not tried any of the newer phones due to size mainly, figuring I wouldn’t like them.
My 8 is now 2 yrs old and still going strong. Unless something happens to it I plan to keep it until year 3 at least.

I thought there wasn’t much of difference in terms of the dimensions of non max models across the board.

I think it’s the screen real estate with the bezels on the 8 non plus for me.

I have gone from iPhone 6+ to iPhone SE to iPhone X to iPhone 11 Pro Max. There are times when I wish my phone could change magically to any of those form factors given the situation. Overall, the 11 Pro Max meets the majority of my phone needs. I doubt I'm going to go back to any of the previous varieties of iPhone.

My 8 is got a lot of life left. I’m at 88% battery health.

Who cares. 8 non plus does not even compare to X or 11 pro. Why do people start these threads? Useless and no clue!
A lot of people want to enjoy the newer phones, but realize that for one reason or another they don’t work out. He’s not saying the 8 is a better phone, just that it works better for him. That’s kind of the point of a forum like this.

I went from 8+ to 11 Pro Max, mostly for the camera. Face ID is better than it was on the X, which I bought and returned, keeping the 8 I had at the time. I haven't really noticed my increased screen space.

If I was rich, I'd have a regular 8 and the 11 Pro Max. The 8 is a really lovely phone and a great size, but sometimes (and only sometimes) you want something bigger, with better battery life and a better camera.

I’m very OK with the 8 non Plus screen. I agree with you on battery life though. Camera I’m an average Joe and pics look good to me with the 8 non Plus. When I had the 11 Pro no doubt pics were better but like I said I’m an average Joe picture taker.

The rumored SE 2 should be perfect for you, same phone and form factor you have now with modern processor.

I went from an iPhone 8 to an 11 Pro. No regrets at all, the 11 Pro is, in my opinion, what a smartphone should be in 2019. With my launch day 8 I just found myself tired of the bezels, they look so unsightly. Love the OLED on the 11 Pro too!

We’ve been on a bit of a major iPhone upgrade in my family, my dad has gone from an iPhone 7+ to the 11, and my brother from a 6S to the 11. We’re all very happy with the new models.

The battery life on my 11 Pro is absolutely phenomenal. My 8 would need charging at lunchtime after watching videos all morning, but my 11 Pro can last easily into the evening. Very impressed!

I did, tried all 3 new models and decided to go back to my 8. Will wait to see what this new SE is all about, or maybe next year’s model.

I literally just got back from the Apple Store doing exactly that. My wife and I both had an 8, bought two new 11 Pros. She loves hers, I really liked the camera and the amazing battery and everything, but I was really having problems with the form factor, and though I finally got used to the size, I was getting really nauseous using the phone. I assume it's from the PWM issue from that big thread. So I would've like to keep it, but I couldn't handle it. I boxed it up yesterday morning, I've been back to the 8 since then, and I've had no problems with the 8 like I was having with the 11 Pro.

For the 8SE (whatever it'll be called), if they offered it in 256GB (rumor is 64 and 128 only), and with an upgraded processor and camera, I would definitely buy it.

Yea I wouldn’t want an 8SE with the SE camera.
