iPhone 16 Pro Who’s holding on to their 16 Pro/Pro Max

I’m not that wow’d about Duo and I have a hard time figuring out how to assimilate it into my everyday life based on my use case

18 Pro Max’s battery life seems amazing but it’s not enough for me to give up my 16 Pro Max. I really love this phone and and the weight of the Titanium frame for which in my opinion feels more premium then the 17 Pro and maybe even the 18

I’m actually waiting on an AppleCare replacement from China because I cracked my phone pretty bad dropping it on some machinery

I’m sitting at 91% battery capacity on my 16 Pro Max. It can get hot, and the battery could be a bit better, but the phone functions perfectly. As far as I can tell, almost all of the software will run on this phone. I may as well keep this for another year and see how the new phones shake out next fall. We will apparently have five new iPhones next year (18, Air 2, two new pro designs, and Duo 2).

The 18 pro max is basically the same phone with the same bad design of last year one. I much prefer the look and feel of my 16 pro max. Plus, my battery health is still at 97% after 2 years so there's absolutely no reasons to justify an upgrade.

The iPhone Duo is just the Apple's answer to this new trend that in my book, is only for real tech enthusiast having too much money to spend on a new toy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Who cares? Use the phone you have. You don't need someone else's approval to do the smart thing financially. If you want comfort, you can just remember that most people don't do the smart thing financially. That's why they live on credit and can't afford an unexpected expense without adding even more to their debt burden.

The smart people drive old cars (paid for) until they die, use old phones until they can't function anymore, and generally live well below their means in all other areas. They're the "millionaires next door," and while the people you seem to care so much about are buried under piles of debt so high that their best option is to declare bankruptcy, they're enjoying a stress free life focusing on the things that actually matter. And those things do not include a new iPhone--I can guarantee you that.

My 16 Pro should be good for at least another three years. It's an iPhone, so is the 18 Pro. Squint a little and they look nearly the same and behave mostly the same. As for the foldable, I wouldn't get it at price parity.

Sticking with the 16PM. Added cooling in a desert environment would be nice though.

I’m happy using my 16 Pro and don’t see myself replacing this device as my primary iPhone anytime soon. For me my 16 Pro has been an amazing iPhone to use.

The 16 Pro looks and feels far better than the 17/18 Pro. However due to all the overheating issues I’ve had with mine this year it has to go. Getting an 18 Pro as soon as possible. It’s too bad they didn’t come up with the Vapor Chamber for this design.

I don' think this is so clear choice, the weight difference is a consideration and as is the increased ram for longevity, but factor in the rumours of iPhone anniversary, its a tough call I think from 16P/PM, maybe less so a 15.
