Up the irons
Ok this has recently been irritating me to the brink of insanity. It seems every day I manage to stub my toes on some damn corner of the furnature. My big toes now really hurt like hell whenever I touch them on the side of the nail. To make things worse I keep stubbing them! I have managed to hurt my feet this way three times today, twice yesterday, and so on.

Is this just bad luck?

/end rant.

No, every day I either stub my toe, trip over something or walk into doorframes. Often multiple times a day. Totally cack-handed.

But has this suddenly started happening recently to you? I've always done it, but if you've suddenly started doing it maybe you should get your balance (inner ears) checked or something.

Same here. I'm am extremely uncoordinated. Oh and if I'm near water, I'm in it.

i one upped you. A few nights ago in my pitch black room, i refused to turn the light on to see where i was going. I had my hands out to feel where my new bed's posts were so i would know where to move from there. My hands however missed the post and i walked right into the post, bashing my head rather hard... didn't bruise though so that was good, but man did it hurt

I did forget to mention that a week ago I was outside barefoot (Huge mistake) and I happened to step on something metal and it drove strait into the middle of my left foot. Went pretty deep too. Up untill now I couldn't walk properly. Toe stubbing is a common problem. My feet are taking so much punishment.

At home I always stub my toes on a book shelf, chair, wall, or bed. Away from home (at college or my work apt) I usually wear shoes everywhere so it's not a big deal.

The one thing that does occur everywhere, is stepping on animals. Cat or dog, they always hang around me, and I always seem to step on them.

TEG

ok wierd, i dont normally but i did 4 times yesterday. Odd that this thread arose.

It happens to me all the time, but that's always been a problem. Recently, though, it's been even more annoying since my toenails are ingrown on both my feet. As you can most likely imagine, a mere touch can be quite painful.
It happens in bed, too.

I opened my car door into my eyebrow and bled EVERYWHERE last week.

I often stub my toe, I've knocked my pinky past 90 degrees hitting it on the kitchen table.

I always stump my big toes. After just having a 4th operation on the left one, its not wise.

Recently, I've been falling up stairs. I reach about half way and I start to feel like I'm taking too many steps, or not enough, and fall forward.

I miss steps as well, and don't feel as if I'm putting my feet down right - then off I fall.

Weird.

I'm always stubbing my toe on the door. I cut my toe nails to short, and It hurts when I touch the side of them (like you, big toe and side nail.) so it really hurts.

I stub my toes at least daily, but I just don't care any more. I've never broken a toe, but 30+ years of bare feet on building sites have certainly left their mark. Let this be a Cautionary Tale, kids,

(Not for the squeamish)

My sister broke her toe on her door when she tried to run from her room to mine to tell me something that was funny on Diablo 2.

I also have had my toe nail ripped off when I was closing a door and it caught the nail.

Though both of these tales happened years ago I haven't stubbed my toe in a long time (have had jammed fingers though), but with murphys law I'll probably stub something tonight...thanks guys

I stubbed my toe last night... we were moving some furniture and there was a bench in the middle of the hallway... enough said.

I do this often, guess I should wear shoes more often. The last time a nail split down the length of the toe and as it grows out I manage to split it some more. This has been going on for a few months now, but it has caused me to avoid those nasty hard hits that leave my toes black and blue. :)

Iteresting fact: you break your toes on average, 8 times a year. I'm sure i've gone past that already. The worst is when you break the big toes, it becomes impossible to walk properly then, and yes i do it very regularly.

for some reason I always trip over my bed, ottoman, etc. several times a day. It drives me insane. My feet feel so out of proportion!:)
