I know everyone's saying we're getting the 7s and 7s plus but ALSO an 8, but does anyone think that's not going to happen?

I'm very reluctant to believe we're getting 2 different models. It doesn't fit with what Apple's done in the past, unless I'm missing something.

Maybe I'm just planning on getting the better phone (don't want a plus, don't need more than 64GB) and don't want to deal with waiting another 3-4 months or dealing with out of stocks.

If you're into science and reality then you'd bank on there being 2 different 'models'.

iPhone 8
iPhone 8 Plus
iPhone X

When you have this much evidence pointing to two models, you have a statistical confidence level greater than 95%.

The specific reason why there are two models is due to this simple economic principle:

Supply and demand

I would say

7S - 7S Plus
X edition

no number 8
apple keep it for 2018

2018=8 :):apple::):apple:

Eh. They need to at least launch them together.

I'm hoping for a repeat of when the original iPhone launched. Steve introduced it as a touch screen iPod, phone, and an internet communication device. Then brought them all together into iPhone.

I think we will, but we all have to keep in mind.. iPhone 7S will probably have TouchID while iPhone "X/8" will not since they technically can't get it in. It makes sense if you think about it how the 7S can't be all that worse compared to iPhone X/8, otherwise everyone who has enough money would get the X model instead of the 7S.

Chances are, next year, the iPhone X OLED will have TouchID and the Face Recognition while the model coming out this year, will have a fancy OLED screen, but be missing TouchID, while the iPhone 7S still has TouchID. In this case, it's really a question of how much you like touch ID....

This year Tim do same thing

apple tv - oled iphone - apple watch = 3 in a row :)

And do the right thing! Make sure that OLED iPhone make Samsung cry having to go back and come up with a better phone/design.

I love TouchID. It's super easy to use and, AFAIK, very secure. They'll have to make something that's even easier and better to replace it.

Doesn't Samsung make the displays or some othe component for these things? Apple and Samsung fanboys have more of a rivalry than the actual companies do.

But to address the original question, it's highly unlikely that so many leaks/rumours could be that wrong about what's being released at this stage. These keynote never have any big surprises anymore.

In the past apple never loose any feature comparing with samsung on event

Samsung can do this for apple

4 more days to test your theory :)

And I sit here with pregnant anticipation waiting for it! Already off from work.

I'm even trying to make sure I'm ready to get on the Apple Upgrade Program, if it's worth it. It just stick with laying through AT&T.

The 7S and 7S plus monikers seem really dated at this point. I know Apple has traditionally used the S to denote a second iteration of the previous year’s phone, but I’d like to see a break from this. It’s gotten stagnant and this would be a perfect year to shake it up.

That being said, there will still likely be 3 models-the “X” being the Mack daddy.
