I was wondering who needs more than Preview to work with pdf files and how the Acrobat Pro works on iMacs? Would I be able to edit pdf files?

Go to Adobe's site and they'll happily tell you why you need Acrobat Pro.

I use it extensively to build PDFs, OCR PDFs, make forms, etc. You can edit them as well, but be aware that editing PDFs isn't like editing a word processing document; they are much harder to change successfully than that. Pro is also useful if you have a collaborative reviewing workflow.

I have used Acrobat Pro since Noah was a little boy. If you don't know why anyone would use it, then you don't need it.

I use it as well. There is some overlap in what OSX can do, but the tool is much more flexible and powerful, providing content creators with more tools

Who uses Adobe Acrobat Pro

Of course I know what Acrobat Pro does (I've had it on my pc for years.) I just don't know (1) How Preview stacks up to it in terms of editing and (2) whether I can get the same functions on the mac version of Pro as I have on the pc version.
