Just wondering who uses the nightly builds of webkit as their default browser. Also, is there any way to make webkit behave after assigning it to a space? Safari and firefox work just fine but for some reason webkit likes to open on any space.

I do!

I use the WebKit nightly builds as my browser - 'cos it's fast.

But you can't really assign WebKit to a space. Problem is, every time you update WebKit, Mac OS X sees it as a new application, so the last settings for an app called "WebKit" are thrown away for the new one.

It's a pain, yes - I am asked every time I open Webkit "Do you want to allow incoming connections for WebKit?" or something along those lines - it sees each new build as a different app.

Still, that's the price we pay for the world's fastest browser.

I downloaded the latest Webkit build but it doesn't seem to me any faster than Safari. I still find Firefox 3.1 beta 2 to be much more faster.

I usually use Webkit nightly builds.

However the last few builds have introduced a bug on here (forums.macrumors.com).

If you click on a poster's username to get the Javascript pop-up menu that includes "View Public Profile" etc. it doesn't appear in the correct place (unless you are clicking on the first poster and haven't scrolled down the page). Sometimes it's way down at the bottom of the page after lines of blank space.
I can't find mention of this in Bugzilla either.

I use Firefox as my main browser because you can tag bookmarks, making them incredibly easy to access. Safari seems so behind with the url bar and bookmarks. But when I'm not using FF, I'm using webkit nightys. Foxmarks FTW!

I use Safari. I like it's UI better than Firefox... both are pretty comparable in speed. Plus Safari scrolls really smooth while Firefox scrolls down in "blocks" if you know what I mean.
