So yes, I wouldn't spend that much for a case. Well, I don't spend any amount for a case for that matter but found this video interesting nonetheless.

Outside of waterproof and ruggedized cases, I think that $10 is the most I would spend on a new case.

From what I saw on an install video, you put rubber sleeves on the edges of the phone and then slide the metal part on top of that.

The rubber looked extremely flimsy and likely to tear and moved about loads when the metal was put on.

For that price I would expect something simpler and easier to do!

Unfortunately that doesn't really help with making them less slippery and more grippable.
