Hello! For those that have gone from the 15 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max, what do you think? Worth it? Glad you made the change?

Thanks!

Got it today. Originally was not planning to upgrade. However, due to battery and better cameras I reconsidered. I’m also sure I will upgrade to the 20th anniversary phone and 4 years without upgrade were too long for me.
I did get the blue 512GB. Not a fan of the aesthetics of the 17PM, but once you put a case on it, it does not matter anymore. Not regretting it.

Thanks! Like you, I wasn’t really planning on this upgrade, but now really considering it.
Thanks again!

I upgraded from the iPhone 15 Pro Max Blue to the 17 Pro Max Cosmic Orange both with 512GB storage. My battery health was down to 83% and I wanted the upgraded cameras as well. I used to upgrade every year until Verizon went with 36 month payment plans instead of 24 months where I could upgrade after the device was 50% paid off. My bill is actually going down $15 by upgrading since I got a $550 trade-in credit towards the new phone as well. Pretty much a no-brainer for me. The camera control button is nice to have as well.

I find the 17 pm quicker than my old 15pm.The screen is nicer too, seems more vibrant. Speakers are a huge improvement, i actually put something on and had to turn it down and was shocked at how wide spaced the sound was. Battery is obviously better on the new phone. Not tried the cameras much yet. I really hate the new design though , i know its personal taste etc, but they do feel a step down.

My old phone would often overheat or get very hot basically doing nothing.17 has got warm a few times but no where near as bad yet. I sold my old phone back to Apple, so my monthly payments will actually reduce by £10 so to me its a no brainer. I actually like the camera control button too, which surprised me.

I am upgrading from 15 Pro Max to an orange 17 Pro Max. Waiting for my phone. Won't be here for at least another two weeks. Love the new color.

I went from an iPhone 15 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max, and I’m really glad I did. From the iPhone 13 Pro I decided to upgrade after two years, no sooner than that. And I have to admit it shouldn’t have been longer than that, because my 15 Pro Max was visibly degrading in terms of battery life, and the display glass got lots of smug even when cleaning it every day. The performance seemed to go south as well, with iOS 26 on it. Maybe it’s partly a matter of bugs that need fixing. But nevertheless, I am so glad I upgraded. The 15 Pro Max has served me well, especially in the camera department and being my first ‘max’ iPhone with its larger screen. So the 17 Pro Max was the most logical successor.

The battery is great, the camera’s are fantastic, and the screen and performance are as expected also very good. And while I still have to get accustomed to the camera control, I do like it and think it will definitely serve a good purpose. The same goes for the photographic styles, which I’m still trying out.

I don’t like the silver color too much, but it does fit best with the purple case I got for it. I was on the verge of going for the Cosmic Orange color, but I am convinced it would’ve been nice only for the first days and weeks before starting to annoy me or something, even with the case on it. Silver was the best choice in the end.

Anyway, I’m really happy with my new phone. :)

Moving from 15PM to 17PM has anyone found the increase in size and weight a concern or is it a non issue? I was going to get a 17PM but cancelled my order when I realised the dimensions have increased slightly but it’s only a small change so maybe not notable?

Still waiting for my 17pm to arrive next month, but I was on the fence about upgrading. Wasn't planning to, but the other half still has an iPhone 12 and needed an update. She's not into tech like I am so it was an excuse for me to upgrade and she will have my 15pm. Both are 512GB. If it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have bothered TBH. Still quite happy with my 15, which was replaced only last year summer after the original was stolen - so still good battery health (94%).
I intend to stick with the 17pm for a min 2-3 years - at least until I've seen what the folding phone is like (as well as price), and given that some time to mature before I even consider it.

Yes, i did. I actually have a chronic pain and fatigue condition so weight of items can affect me. Tbh i havent really noticed any difference. I mean its a heavy phone but compared to the 15pm feels well balanced.

I had no plans on upgrading from my 15PM as I still owe one more year of payments on it but Verizon offered to pay what I owe ($433) while offering me $1100 in trade in credits returning my 15PM for a 17PM so I jumped at it. Won’t be here for another two weeks so I hope I’m as happy as the rest of you with the upgrade.

Non issue

Went from 15 pro to 17pm - absolutely love it and no regrets whatsoever.
Mine arrived yesterday. I actually prefer the feeling of the 17PM. Have always gone caseless with my 15PM and intend to do the same with this. Actually think it feels lighter in the hand when technically it's a bit heavier.

How did you get this deal from Verizon where they payoff your phone and receive $1100 in trade?

I went from 15 Pm to 17 Pm.

I honestly can’t tell a huge difference. Battery life is the biggest plus as I could barely make it through a day on the 15 PM. I was also looking forward to 4k slo mo, which isn’t on the 15. Screen does get brighter - helpful in sunny Texas when outdoors.

The size seems the same, overall speed seems the same, cell service seems the same,
