I'm interested in hearing accounts from people who did the 5 --> 5c switch. Do you plan on upgrading next year? Did you consider the 5s before you made your purchase?

Also, if you want, post pictures of the color you got! And the cases, too, if you prefer!

I went from the 5 to 5C and after a week or so now I'm regretting it. I'm considering trading in the 5C for the 5S and I'll still upgrade next year and just trade in my 5S to offset the cost of the new iPhone.

You can still exchange it/return the 5C if it is still within 14/30 days window (depending on who you are talking to. Policy for Apple store is supposed to be 30 days for iphone).

I'm within my 14 days, but who knows when the Sprint store will actually stock the 5S plus I would have to eat the restocking fee of $35.

Out of curiosity, why do you regret it? Did you like the color, feel? Did you feel it was too much like a 5?

I went from the 5 to the 5c and despite all of the stick for 'sidegrading' I really love it!

I ordered the 5s on launch day but was disappointed with the long delivery times. Went into my local Apple store and tried both the 5s and 5c and loved the way the c felt and looked.

I know many people won't understand why someone would move from a 5 to a 5c and that lots would even consider it as a downgrade but it honestly doesn't feel that way to me. The 5s felt too similar to the 5 (in terms of how it physically looked and felt in the hand) to really excite me when I saw it in person. Don't get me wrong the 5s is still a beautiful phone but I'm happy with my choice.

I would say before having a dig at the 5c go into a store and actually play with one. It doesn't feel cheap or even like plastic, it feels solid and a nice change from the metal and hard edges of the 5 and 5s.

I'm really interested to see how the C phones will evolve.

They have already had to cut production of the 5C less than a month after release. It's a one year wonder, I am betting that they don't even make any variation of it next year. After all, it's just an iPhone 5 in a plastic case...that's it.

Well technically speaking the iPhone 5 was a one year wonder. Of course production is going to be cut on a device that was being produced 300,000 times a day. Let's see rewind to 2012 the iPhone 5 production was cut back as well. In 2011 the iPhone 4S production was cut back as well. Production cutbacks mean absolutely nothing.

The iPhone 5s is said to be selling two to one over the 5c .. Honestly it's not bad for a "legacy" device. The 5c is selling better then the 4s did last year. That's all it needs to do. Nothing else. It's not there to be a flagship ... It's there to be another option...

Everyone is so quick to call this phone a failure! Why because you don't like it? This device is not meant to sale out. It's not meant to draw crowds. It's meant for a person upgrading from a 3G or a 3GS or even a 4. They don't have to have the latest and greatest so they go in and see a good looking iphone for $49 or even free and they get it. They will be happy.

Personally I hate the iphone 5/5s design. It's ny opinion, but I don't rag on everyone who likes it... The iPhone 5c is a better design for me

Btw I went from iPhone 4 to iphone 5 back to iPhone 4S because I didn't like the looks of the 5 then to a iphone 5c and I'm fine with it.

Like I said, it's a 12 month old phone in a plastic case. Less than a month after release Apple has had to cut production......nuff said.

Like I said productions cuts don't mean squat. Was the iPhone 5 a failure? ... 'Nuff said!!

'nuff said' is in the same league as 'whatever'. It translates to "You're right but I can't admit it". Rather than repeat yourself and slam a product (since when did people on an Apple forum turn against each other? Leave that for the Android guys) type something productive.

I have the 4, and was going to upgrade to the 5S, but after all the praise for the 5C I might take a look at that now. It seems most of the people who have the 5C like it, and those that bash it haven't tried it.

The point of this thread was definitely not to argue about the 5c. If it was, I would've clearly said it. I'd appreciate the argument on an another thread. Not on one this one.

I'm not arguing, I'm telling you I went from the 5 to the 4s to the 5c and have no regrets with it.

Ignorance is bliss. :D

Lol

You couldn't have said it any better!!! I have never seen a time before where so many people that's "Apple fans" want a product to fail that they come up with facts that mean nothing. Yes the production was cut in half, but so was the 5 and so was the 4s.

The truth is the 5s and 5c are both great just be happy and get along

I wasn't talking about you in specific. don't sweat it. I appreciate your post and glad you like your 5c.

Yes and I'm sorry for some reason when certain people see 5c in a post the have to use negativity no matter what.

If the 5c had the and specs as the 5s, I would have a hard time deciding which to get. The 5c just feels a 100x better to hold and easier to pick up off a table if both phones are caseless.

I'll be honest with you neither was I or am I ... That's why I got white and never even thought twice.

I prefer the look and feel of the 5S. So hopefully I can make it happen soon. Just wondering what Apple would give me for my 5C. I found a gold 32GB for Sprint at a local Apple store.

I went from the iPhone 5 to the 5c (kinda!). My iPhone 5 was stolen a couple of months ago so I used a cheapy Lumia in the mean time. I upgraded to a 64gb 5s on launch day, used it a couple of weeks and returned it for the 5c.

Why? Well to be honest I prefer the feel of the 5c over the 5s. I don't feel that I have to keep it in a case for fear of scuffs/dents. It just feels better to hold in general. In my everyday practical use I do not notice it to be any slower or inferior to the 5s.

I say get what you want, as long as at the end of the day you are happy using it. :D
