Whoever at Apple set 3:01am pre-order time needs to get locked up!!!

This thing is a mess -- very disappointed at Apple!

Not to mention we American get the iPhone 5s dead last, if you want iPhone 5s then you
- cannot sleep cuz u have to order it at 3am
- cannot get up in the morning
- cannot drive your kids to school on time
- cannot get to work on time then too sleepy to stay productive
Like WTF right i think along with the suckers who wait in line n cannot go to work at all, we already lost like a billion dollars in productivity!!!

Hope Apple read this and change the preorder time for iphone 6!
 
You realize that there's a thing called time zones right? It's not 3 AM for everyone.
 
No, it's set at 12:01 am Pacific time. Blame the government for having all these time zones.

True, but it is after midnight for everyone. Most people that work at 7-8am aren't generally awake this late.

Not sure why they did it this late. Maybe they are thinking it will thwart traffic?
 
Blaming Apple cuz government has set it years ago. Simply set pre-order time to 8am will save a lot lives!

Eh, then the west coasters have to be up by 5am, and the east coasters may be on their commute to work. People will always complain. Servers are going to be slammed. If you think an 8am slot will get you in at 8am and out at 8:01am, you've never done this before. :D
 
Setting the time to 8am will save lives? Exactly how many people die each year ordering their phone online?
 
This is the west coast's way for getting revenge for always having to watch live programming on a 3 hour time delay.

Also you can always move to Hawaii. Preorder opens at 9pm local time.

I think somewhere around 9pm PST might be the sweet spot. The current set up doesn't bother me though

You could just wait a few weeks and pick one up? Is anyone forcing you to wake at 3am? it is just a phone people

I am in the same boat. My wife won't hate me (she doesn't even know she is getting the thing), but it will make her very happy. Early birthday gift :)

Figured that Apple has probably reserved the largest portion of the phones for the US market, I think we can wait our turn. As far as the time, midnight in Las Vegas is always exciting to order a phone from.

American get iphones dead last??


No, dude, US gets it first wave. Asia's time zone is a day ahead, but in the large scheme of things, it works out the same.

loads of countries won't get the iphone till DEC to be released in stores.

LOADS of countries gotta wait longer.

u really are young and not know what's up huh
